Understanding Silent Letters

अंग्रेजी के कुछ ऐसा शब्द है जिन्हे पड़ा नहीं जाता उन्हे हम साइलेंट - 

Silent Letters लेटर कहते है | There are English letter or alphabet in English language that are not read while reading a word. These letters or alphabets are known as Silent Letter or Alphabet.

For example:

Rule 1:

वह शब्द है जो  ‘gn’ ,  ‘kn’  से शुरू हो रहे है , इनमे ‘g’ and ‘k’ alphabet को नहीं पड़ते|

Words that are starting with the word  "gn" ,"kn". In 

such words alphabet g and k are not read.

gnarled	नार्ल्ड
gnaw	नौ
knife	नाइफ
knowledge	नॉलेज

 

Rule 2:

वह शब्द है जो  ‘wr’  से शुरू हो रहे है , इनमे ‘w’ alphabet को नहीं पड़ते|

Words that are starting with the word "wr". In such words w alphabet is not read and are called silent alphabet.

wreckage	रेकज
wrong	रॉन्ग
worry	वोर्री

 

Rule 3:

वह शब्द है जो  ‘p’  से शुरू हो रहे है , इनमे ‘p’ alphabet को नहीं पड़ते|

Words that are starting with the alphabet "p". In such 

words "p" alphabet is not ready and such alphabet is 

called silent alphabet.

Rule 3:

वह शब्द है जिसमे ‘d’,  ‘g’ से पहले हो,  इनमे ‘d’ alphabet को नहीं पड़ते |

Words in which  alphabet "d" comes before the 

alphabet "g". In such alphabet "d" is not read.
