- GENDER TYPES -

What is a gender? A simple answer to this would be a Gender refers to those categories in which living and non-living things could be categorized.

In the universe we find Male, Female or non-living things present in the world.Living being include Man,Woman,Animal, etc.child, baby or creatures,etc whereas non-living things are table,chair, sun, peace, violence, computer,etc.

Let us study in detail what are those categories of Gender and their classifications.

Gender is of following types:

1) Masculine Gender

2)Feminine Gender

3)Common Gender

4)Neuter Gender





Things that are a synonym of POWER OR STRENGTH  are refer to as MASCULINE GENDER or MALE. Man, Tiger,Sun, Violence,Sun,Time,                Thunder,etc, falls in this category. 

They are consider Male ONLY on the basis of physical power or stamina.

MASCULINE GENDER is called as "HE"

On the other hand peace,softness, kindness,and gentleness are the characteristics of the FEMININE GENDER. The things or objects living or non-living who are regarded for their kindness and peaceful attributes comes under this category. For example, woman,girl,tigress,mother,sister,peace,nature,earth,goddess,etc

FEMININE GENDER IS CALLED AS "SHE".

Common Gender:The gender which is neither male or female is termed as a common gender. The list includes, student,teacher,doctor, patient, nurse,baby,child,neighbor, etc,


The common gender could include both the genders as Masculine and Feminine Gender. For example a doctor -can be a male or female ,by the term Doctor it is not clear doctor is a male or female.

COMMON GENDER is called as he/she or it depending upon the subject.


Neuter Gender: Some object such table, bat,computer,car,etc. these are lifeless objects. These objects falls under Neuter Gender.

NEUTER GENDER is called as "IT".
